TAPPI TIP 0425-05 – Guidelines for Usage of MAP on Raw Yankee Surfaces
TAPPI TIP 0425-05 will provide general guidelines for the usage of MAP to protect raw Yankee dryer surfaces after grinding or polishing the surface of a cast iron Yankee. MAP reacts with the cast iron surface to form a ferrous-phosphate layer on the Yankee surface. This document is not meant to supersede recommendations by original equipment manufacturers.
