The purpose of this Practice is to explain the use of Process Industry Practices (PIP) insulation documents. This Practice provides definition of terms, an explanation of the PIP insulation document numbering system, a description of how to use PIP document types, and an example of how PIP insulation practices are used throughout the execution of a project.
