Specifies minimum requirements for the inspection, repair and alteration of in-service boilers, pressure vessels, piping, safety equipment and associated controls, and gives guidance on the execution of such activities. Information is also given to facilitate grounds for agreement between the interested parties in establishing appropriate inspection intervals and procedures for pressure equipment.
