AS 2491 – All-glass syringes for the injection of 100 units per millilitre insulin (U-100)
Applies to 1, 0.5 and 0.35 mL reusable syringes. Requirements for the barrel, plunger, fit of plunger in barrel and connection between nozzle and needle hub are given. Appendices include methods of test for thermal resistance and dead space. Labelling requirements are specified.
