Applies to table, pedestal, wall and ceiling cirulating fans and their associated regulators, intended for use in household or similar applications (e.g. light commercial use) and connected to a single-phase a.c. supply at voltages not exceeding 250 volt. It does not apply to diaphragm-mounted fans such as ventilating fans.
