AS 1456 – Fixed capacitors for direct current – Polyester film dielectric

Relates to capacitors for d.c. with a rated voltage not exceeding 6300 V, using a polyethylene teraphthalate or similar material as a dielectric. The purpose of the Standard is to establish uniform requirements for their electrical and mechanical properties and climatic resistance, to select test methods, and to classify the capacitors into categories. It is compatible with IEC 202.
