This evaluation procedure describesthe use of a Gray Scale for visually evaluatingchanges in color of textiles resultingfrom colorfastness tests. For instrumentalassessment of change of color of a testspecimen refer to AATCC Evaluation Procedure7. A precise colorimetric specificationof the differences between the referenceand the 9-step Scale is given as apermanent record against which newlyprepared Gray Scales, and old scales thatmight have changed, can be compared.
