It specifies requirements for sarking materials, and describes methods to be followed to ensure an effective seal in a sarking membrane and to provide adequate safety for personnel when the membrane is used in conjunction with wide spacing of rafters or purlins. Appendices describe test methods for impermeability and shrinkage of the material.
